The unique integration of Eastern and Western approaches in her practice allows Dr. Kagan to skillfully facilitate the holistic intelligence of a healing process. Her philosophy and practice is based on a premise that psychotherapy is most beneficial when it assists an individual as a whole. In other words, when it facilitates the holistic resolutions to internal emotional and psychological conflicts and energetic imbalances which cause psycho-somatic and psycho-social problems and thus underlie many mental and physical dis-eases and illnesses. She believes that these underlying emotional conflicts and internal energetic imbalances become major obstacles for leading a physically, emotionally, spiritually healthy & rewarding life.

Education & Certifications:

Helen holds an M.A. in Psychology; Ph.D.in Science; and an MSW.
She was also trained in Psychotherapy, Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Gestalt therapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Yoga, Qi-gong, Bodywork, Art Therapy, Addictions, Bioenergetics, Polarity therapy, Cranio-sacral therapy, Reiki, IM healing, and other modalities of Holistic healing.

Helen graduated from Adelphi University, NYC, with an MSW in 1994. Became a NYS licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 1995 and a Certified Prevention Specialist certified by NYS OASAS in 1998. A Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP) certified by American Polarity Therapy Association since 2000 (www.PolarityTherapy.org), and a certified Reiki practitioner since 2001. Was certified as a Healer by IM School of Healing Arts, NYC, in 2003 (www.IMSchool.com), and was ordained as a Spiritual Counselor in 2005.

Master Results Coach; Master Practitioner & Trainer of NLP ; Master Ericksonian Hypnosis Practitioner; Master Practitioner & Trainer of Advanced Neurological Repatterning certified by CH Companies.

Dr. Kagan has appeared in several Radio- and TV shows; provided over a hundred of various workshops and presentations including international conferences; has professional publications in the field of mental health, immigrants, and addictions.  For several years she has been a VIP member in National Directory for recognized professionals and executives (www.CambridgeWhosWho.com ).
While in NYC, Helen has developed, clinically supervised and directed several Behavioral Health Programs providing Prevention, Crisis Intervention and Outpatient services for populations in need: immigrants; substance abusers and their families; teenagers at risk and their families, and others. In FL since 2006, Helen is manifesting her holistic vision while developing her Wellness World, Inc. and delivering wellness services to the community.

Dr. Kagan has been successfully practicing in the fields of wellness; adult and adolescent psychotherapy; mental health; chemical dependency; addictions; hypnotherapy; expressive therapies; cross-cultural psychology; family therapy; marriage counseling; holistic healing; spiritual counseling, for over fifteen years.
